Understanding the Riverr Finance Trading Interface

The Riverr Finance trading interface is designed for both beginners and experienced traders. This guide will walk you through every component of the platform to help you trade efficiently and confidently.

Platform Overview​

The trading interface consists of several key sections:

  1. Header Navigation - Wallet connection and navigation
  2. Price Chart - Real-time price data and technical analysis
  3. Trading Panel - Order placement and position management
  4. Market Information - Current prices and statistics
  5. Positions Panel - Active positions and trade history

Header Navigation​

Top Navigation Bar​

  • Riverr Logo: Click to return to dashboard
  • Dashboard: Overview of your account and positions
  • Trade: Main trading interface (current page)
  • Earn: Future staking and yield opportunities
  • Connect Wallet: Wallet connection status and management

Wallet Information​

When connected, you'll see:

  • Your wallet address (truncated)
  • Current ICP balance
  • Connection status indicator

Price Chart Section​

TradingView Integration​

The chart section features:

Chart Controls​

  • Timeframes: 1s, 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 1d
  • Chart Types: Candlestick, line, area charts
  • Indicators: Technical analysis tools
  • Drawing Tools: Lines, shapes, and annotations

Price Information Bar​

Located at the top of the chart:

  • Trading Pair: Currently showing ckBTC/ICP
  • Current Price: Real-time price (e.g., 117.000K)
  • 24h High/Low: Daily price range
  • 24h Change: Price change and percentage
  • 24h Volume: Trading volume

Chart Features​

  • Real-time Updates: Prices update live
  • Zoom Controls: Zoom in/out on price action
  • Crosshair: Hover to see exact price and time data
  • Volume Bars: Trading volume displayed at bottom

Trading Panel (Right Side)​

Market Selection​

Current Market Information​

  • Market: BTC-ICP trading pair
  • Current Price: Live price (20875.95 in example)
  • Available Balance: Your ICP balance for trading

Position Controls​

Long/Short Selection​

  • Long Button: Buy/go long (blue)
  • Short Button: Sell/go short (red)
  • Active Selection: Highlighted button shows current choice

Leverage Slider​

  • Range: 1.0x to 10x leverage currently
  • Visual Slider: Drag to adjust leverage
  • Current Setting: Displayed as "1.0x"
  • Risk Indicator: Higher leverage = higher risk

Collateral Input​

  • Collateral Field: Amount of ICP to use as collateral
  • Available Balance: Shows your available ICP
  • Currency: Denominated in ICP

Advanced Options​

Limit Orders (Future Feature)​

  • Market Orders: Execute immediately at current price
  • Limit Orders: Execute at specified price
  • Stop Orders: Risk management orders

Market Information Panel​

Key Metrics​

Current market data displayed:

  • 24h Volume: Total trading volume
  • Open Interest: Total open positions
  • Funding Rate: Cost of holding positions
  • Next Funding: Time until next funding payment

Price Statistics​

  • Mark Price: Current fair price
  • Index Price: Underlying asset price
  • Last Price: Most recent trade price
  • 24h Change: Daily price movement

Positions Panel (Bottom Section)​

Active Positions Tab​

When you have open positions, you'll see:

Position Information​

  • Position: Long or Short direction
  • Size: Position size in base currency
  • Collateral: Amount of collateral used
  • Entry Price: Price when position was opened
  • Mark Price: Current fair value price
  • PnL: Unrealized profit and loss
  • Margin Ratio: Health of your position

Position Actions​

  • Close: Manually close position
  • Add Collateral: Increase position margin
  • Reduce Size: Partially close position

Orders Tab​

Shows pending orders:

  • Order Type: Market, limit, stop orders
  • Side: Long or short
  • Size: Order quantity
  • Price: Target execution price
  • Status: Pending, filled, cancelled

Trade History Tab​

Recent trading activity:

  • Time: When trade occurred
  • Market: Trading pair
  • Side: Long or short executed
  • Size: Trade size
  • Price: Execution price
  • Fee: Trading fees paid
